Aerobic Fitness

Aerobic Fitness is a general term that refers to the overall efficiency of the heart, lungs, blood vessels, and exercising muscles. Aerobic activities requires a person to a sustain prolonged physical effort.

Aerobic fitness results in an increased amount of oxygen that is delivered to your muscles. More oxygen to the muscles allows them to work harder for longer., Any fitness activity that raises your heart rate and keeps it up for a period of time will improve your aerobic fitness.

A common indicator of aerobic fitness is the amount of oxygen consumed during intens ("maximal") effort. The scientific term for the measure of oxygen consumption is VO2 Max. A high VO2 max score indicates that you have a strong cardiovascular system. This means

Now its time to test the accuracy of your Target Heart Rate Range.

Please complete the following online exercise routines and compare the differences in your body (rate of breathing, perspiration, muscle fatigue, etc) as your heart rate increases.

Please check your heart rate every 5 minutes for a count of 15 seconds and make note of any physical changes. Hopefully, by completing the activities it well give you an awareness of what your body feels like during the warm up phase and conditioning phase of your work out so you can exercise safely and to your full potential.
